Weaving is my main obsession! I can start weaving in the afternoon, get into the zone and look up to find that it is past midnight!
Lately, I have been doing a lot of super duo and Tila bracelet designs.
I love playing with the pattern and colors
I found a new pattern that I love!
I have also been doing a lot of Herringbone with super duos as well. I just love the way they look when using the herringbone weave!
I am getting ready for the season, and trying to build up stock. I splurged on red Creek Jasper at our local bead show and had a lot of fun combining it with other stones and with Czech glass.
Love the pendants! I also liked how the African Turquoise complimented the Jasper.
I have a great fondness for Czech glass. I particularly love these cupped half circles. I enjoy stacking them so that they resemble armadillo armor! They seemed to like the Red Creek Jasper and looked quite nice together.
Here’s where all the cool kids will be this fall…………
Betsy’s Beadworks and Carnelian Sol Designs will be at Art on the Mart on September 8th in Ahuska park in Monona. Farmers Market Sunday.
- We will also be at the One-Stop Holiday Shop on October 19 at the McFarland Lutheran Church.
- Betsy’s Beadworks will also be at the Crafty Fair this fall, on Sunday November 17th from 10am-4pm at the Goodman Community Center. (149 Waubesa St. Madison, WI)
Come on by and say hi! We love the company.
Be there or be square!
Gearing up for the craft fair season!
I am psyched! I have been busy making lots of new stuff and I think that the quality of my work has really improved over the last year. I am forever thankful to all of my friends and family who support and encourage this madness of mine.
Al, (my mate and partner of 35 years) gladly took me along on a recycle shopping trip to the Habitat for Humanity re-sale store. Wow! What treasure trove of cool stuff! This is my new favorite store (Besides bead shops).
I made a new vertical display to use at shows where there is limited space to display our goods. All of the knobs, handles and the antique doorknob are recycled hardware from Habitat for Humanity’s re-sale store. I supplied the peg board, trim, nuts and bolts, and lots of elbow grease!
If you live in the Madison area, feel free to stop by on Saturday between 9 and 5 and look through our booth! We will be at Turner Hall on Madison’s southeast side. The Hall is located on the frontage road off of Stoughton Rd, south of Pflaum road. There will be lots of great artists in a variety of mediums selling at this fair.
